The Waldhaus Hotel enjoys a prominent location on a wooded rocky outcrop. It was built between 1905 and 1908 from plans by the well known St Moritz hotel architect Karl Koller. After being partially destroyed by a fire in 1927, the hotel was restored to the appearance it still has today. The exterior of this stately manor, conceived to be admired from afar, renounces unnecessary decorations. The interior is all the more impressive for it, with its sequence of representative halls and parlours.

There are numerous original fittings, all exceptionally well preserved, and new elements are introduced honestly and skillfully in contemporary shapes.
Two other exceptional pieces of furniture dating back to the time of its construction are the crystal chandeliers and the Welte-Mignon reproducing piano.
This hotel has been in the hands of the same family since its inception, and their unconditional commitment to the hotel's history, the carefully maintained interior decoration and furniture and the undivided attention guests receive here reflect an unsurpassed entrepreneurial philosophy. The Waldhaus is quite simply an example for the Swiss hospitality industry.
