It’s only a few minutes by cable car from Leukerbad to the Rinderhütte mountain station at 2,350 metres above sea level. Here, the comfortable 6-seater Rinderhütte – Schwalbennest chairlift continues up to the ski area’s highest point at an altitude of 2,610 metres. The 9.7 km long run starts at the Schwalbennest mountain station. Once here, you can also admire the panoramic view that extends as far as the Rhone Valley and that takes in 20 four-thousand metre high Valais peaks.
Now it’s time to whizz down the wide, groomed Lingelen run, ideal for carving. The snow here is perfect for this as the shadow of the Schafberg keeps the sun from shining on here until the late afternoon. Enjoy some easy carving before reaching the Torrentstafel, the most challenging part of the descent. It is best to only make short swings on this steep slope. After this technically demanding descent you can let go so as to arrive at the correct speed at the Torrentalp middle station. Now conclude the run by covering the 3.1 km over the gentle hills of the Planedri to the cable railway valley station in Flaschen.
