The tower by the Bergrestaurant Alpen on Planplatten affords one of the most beautiful views from the Haslital – the view down the valley from this 2,250-metre-high spot is quite spectacular. To the west, Lake Brienz extends like a Nordic fjord while on the horizon you see the pointed peaks of the Bernese High Alps. As you make your descent this panorama stays in view continually. This moderately difficult downhill run takes you from Planplatten via the Gummenalp to the children's ski paradise of Bidmi.
