For lovers of Design & Lifestyle
A contemporary interpretation of New York architect Ali Tayar's classic Mountain Lodge. Valais materials and craftsmanship fuse with the aesthetics of American Modernist furniture. The "Caverne" is carved out of the rough granite. A glazed steel structure fills the cave, floating over spring water. Black stone, steel, glass and wood dominate the venue.

Arrival
The auto-free mountain village Zermatt can be found right in the middle of nowhere in the wildly romantic Vispertal at a height of 1.616 metres above see level. The village at the foot of the Matterhorn lies on the same degree of latitude as Lugano and is consequently the most southerly high-alpine holiday resort in Switzerland ¿ surrounded by a good dozen three and four thousand metre peaks. In Zermatt there are no motor vehicles and the only traffic on the streets are horse-drawn sleights, carriages and electric cars. The fantastic location makes this auto-free mountain village a unique holiday resort ¿ and calls for the journey to involve a little more organisation than other places. Arrival by road You can be assured, even in winter, that the highways will take you as far as Täsch, 5 km from Zermatt. There you¿ll find the public parking lot (approx. CHF 11.- / day).
