Intro
The hike from the Urbach Valley (a side valley of the Hasli Valley) takes 4 to 5 hours. Off the beaten track, with a view of the glaciers and glacier forefields... well-known because of Switzerland Tourism's "Steinträger" (Video).
The hut is partially equipped with duvets, partially with blankets. Originally built in 1895, the old, simply furnished part of the hut is a charming winter room. On the nearby Gauli Glacier an American Dakota made an emergency landing - twelve officers were rescued after five days. The aircraft is still hidden in the glacier!
