High above the Grande Eau, a tributary of the Rhône, the two mountains Tour de Mayen and Tour d’Aï preside over the landscape. The erstwhile climatic health resort of Leysin lies on the southern slope OF Tour d’Aï Mountain.
In the midst of it all shines the ultramodern Restaurant Kuklos at an elevation of 2048 meters above sea level. It revolves once around its axis in 90 minutes. The view reaches far into the region of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, up to the Diablerets glacier and down to Lake Geneva. The mountain, which can be reached by gondola lift, is the center of the popular hiking region. Slopes and peaks of the surrounding mountains are accessible via mountain trains and ski lifts.
