The aerial cable car Arosa-Weisshorn has operated year round since 1957. The roomy cabin can transport 600 persons per hour to the peak of one of Graubünden’s most beautiful mountains.
In the first section, the cable car climbs 234 meters over a 1,200-meter ride. This mid-station at the Arlenwaldstrasse presents the hiker with a myriad of mountain trails leading to the Weisshorn area. The second section leading to the mountain station (2,653 meters) is much steeper: After two kilometers an elevation difference of 626 meters has been overcome.
The pre-Alpine panorama is impressive, the valley basin of Arosa and the Rhine Valley of Chur spreads out before your eyes.
