With its 126 meters and 36 floors, the Prime Tower is the highest building in Switzerland. Visible from far away, the green-sparkling «Glaszahn» (glass tooth) rises high into the sky. It is located within the former industrial area of Maag-Zahnräder & Maschinen AG next to the Hardbrücke train station and was built between 2008 and 2011. The building designed by the architects Gigon|Guyer is the landmark of the emerging quarter of Zurich-West. Besides the Maag area, the Sulzer-Escher Wyss, Steinfels and Toni-Molkerei areas are further witnesses to the former industrial age. The Escher Wyss area today comprises the Technopark (1993), three hotels, the Westpark, Puls 5, and the Bluewin Tower.
