Excursiones - Lausanne (Lake Geneva Region)
Fauna
The ideal destination for a relaxing family outing: watch the animals and take a trip in a boat on the romantic little lake.
Natural plants, white sand, foam, trees...you would be forgiven for thinking you were in a tropical forest, with the humid, hot air in this biotope. Thrill-seekers can even have their photograph taken with a snake around their neck!
Museos
The Elysée Museum, a magnificent late-18th century villa with terraced gardens offering a superb view of Lake Geneva and the French Alps, has been completely dedicated to photography since 1985.
The Hermitage Foundation is dedicated to temporary Fine Art exhibitions, and is located inside a beautiful 19th century residence surrounded by magnificent parkland that is open to the public.
The museum displays iconographical and applied art collections from the Association Mémoire de Lausanne, in addition to different cultural assets belonging to the Town of Lausanne.
Con una exposición única, dinámica e interactiva, el Museo Olímpico es el mayor centro de información del mundo sobre los Juegos Olímpicos.
Juegos y diversión
The Skate Park in the centre of Lausanne is a great meeting place for young people. This is where skating, roller blade and scooter enthusiasts come to have fun.
Factory
Vincent Calabrese, a self-taught philosopher, is one
of the last watchmakers in the artistic mechanical tradition. His
collection stands out due to its originality and individuality. This
visit should not be missed! Guided tours by appointment.
Viajes en trenes pequeños
The 'Brouette' steam railway line takes you across fields to Echallens, a typical countryside market town, where you can visit the Maison du Blé et du Pain (a wheat and bread museum): enough to make your mouth water!
Monasterios y iglesias
Construido en el 1900, gracias al legado de Gabriel de Rumine, el palacio se parece a la universidad, a la biblioteca y a los museos de Bellas Artes y de las Ciencias.
