La Catedral de Lausana, que domina la ciudad desde la colina, es un edificio gótico de la primera mitad del siglo XIII marcado por la influencia de la arquitectura anglo-normanda y del noreste de Francia.

Construida sobre el año 1270, es lo único que queda del antiguo convento de 1260.

El monasterio está rodeado por una muralla fortificada con torres de la que todavís queda una parte. La iglesia romana, con algunas modificaciones de la época gótica, recubre el emplazamiento de dos iglesias anteriores cuya planta todavía se puede distinguir sobre el suelo. En la parte sur de la iglesia se encuentra el antiguo claustro y en el sótano la denominada casa de los Monjes. En excavaciones recientes se han encontrado vestigios de antiguos claustros entre los que se encuentra una iglesia cruciforme.

Colección donada por Jean Dubuffet. Obras insólitas y ajenas a la cultura, creadas en instituciones psiquiátricas, prisiones y lugares recónditos. Entre los autores se encuentran: Wölfi, Aloïse, Lesage, Carlo y Hauser.
