The charming 33-room Hôtel Masson lies in an elevated, panoramic position on the old Simplon road. The present building, dating from 1829, was originally a wine grower’s house; now the oldest hotel in Montreux, it lies just minutes both from the town centre and from the famous Château de Chillon.

Both the original fabric of the building and the interiors are well preserved – including the high-ceilinged rooms, and the old, meticulously crafted parquet fl oor that once creaked under the footsteps of aristocrats, historians, philosophers, painters and writers.
