Centovalli

El Centovalli es un paraíso del senderismo: naturaleza virgen, vistas impresionantes y una densa red de senderos en muy buen estado. Los numerosos pueblos con los típicos grotti, los restaurantes tradicionales del Tesino que uno encuentra durante el recorrido del valle, permiten intuir que aquí las tradiciones permanecen vivas y que en cada lugar es posible descubrir algo nuevo. Verdasio, Rasa y Palagnedra son sólo algunos de los pequeños pueblos que maravillarán a los visitantes con su belleza simple y auténtica.

• Centovallina - A scenic train ride from Locarno to Domodossola, the most romantic and comfortable way of enjoying the wild scenery and visiting the picturesque villages of this valley.
• Dimitri Theatre and Comic museum, Verscio - This internationally renowned theatre has a rich and diverse program. Right next door to it, you will find the Comic Museum and the Theatre School of movement.
• Regional museum, Intragna - This regional cultural museum hosts an interesting permanent collection as well as temporary exhibits featuring, among other topics, the work of local artists.
• Bell tower, Intragna - Located in the heart of Intragna, the 65-meter high bell tower is the highest in Ticino. Completed in 1775, the tower is made of stone and houses 6 bells. Open to the public.
• Grotti - Grab some shade and a bite to eat in the rustic outdoor “grottos” typical of Ticino. Enjoy simple yet authentic local dishes and wines in a cool and comfortable atmosphere.
• Cable cars - The suspended cable cars Verdasio-Rasa, Verdasio-Monte Comino, and Intragna-Pila-Costa allow visitors to reach peaceful and enchanting places in just a few minutes.
• Rasa - A tiny village built on a natural terrace and surrounded by wide pastures and dense woods, Rasa is a small jewel reachable only on foot or by cable car.
• Church S. Michele, Palagnedra - Parish Church dating back to 1200, which preserves the 15th century frescoes by Antonio da Tradate. Church classified as national monument.
