The live of Appenzell farmers and alpine dairymen has always been marked by a variety of ancient traditions.
The Alpine and traditional cheese dairy of Tannenboden was built at the turn of the century. Through a large glass pane in the cozy restaurant you can watch how cheese is made. Fine fresh dairy products such as Alpine cheese, yoghurt, butter, milk and Camenbert cheese are sold here.
Situated right on the lake, this design hotel was furnished by Carlo Rampazzi with luxurious Mediterranean charm. Surrounded by a park with a private beach and jetty, 2010 there was the grand opening of its wellness centre "Eden Roc Spa". With 16, 15, and 14 Gault Millau points respectively, the 3 restaurants provide soaring culinary experiences. Ascona's picturesque piazza is just a few minutes away on foot.
