In addition to being marked out in the traditional way the geo-reference data of the Moorland Trail has also been recorded which means visitors can explore the trail using a navigation system should they wish to.

The Biosphere Reserve in Entlebuch is home to more natural treasures than practically any other region of the pre-Alps.

The waterway is an educational and adventure trail dealing with various topics related to water.

Twenty markers (made of larch tree wood), small slate roofs and stations with sensory equipment have been installed on existing hiking trails.

The traditional cheese-making demonstration will also give you a chance to find out all about the exciting and dramatic history of Alp Turnels. After viewing the cowshed and the cheese cellar, the highlight of your day will be a relaxing and health-giving bath in warm whey. The alpine garden located inside the nature reserve makes an attractive place for a stroll.

The perfect place for rambling. Spending a day on the alp and watching the cheese-making process, tasting the finished product and resting on rejuvenating straw is a must. This is a great starting point for several walks on the Tour du Mont-Blanc route, or in the direction of the Ferret mountain lakes and across to the ancient Great St. Bernard Hospice.
