Cheese, cheese, and more cheese. You will learn about the region's cheesemaking history, from traditional methods to the ultra-modern dairy at Pringy. However, this is not the only attraction of the cheese trail. Visitors are able to admire the magnificent countryside around the Fribourg foothils. If you are early enough, you may actually see an Alpine cheesemaker. Watch them boil the fresh milk in a large cauldron and form the great wheels of cheese that can be tasted later on. A trip to the Moleson, with its mountain huts with grey slate roofs, the lovely evergreen forests contrasting with the green meadows and their black and white cows, is well worth it.
