The wild and romantic landscape between Frutigen and Kandersteg is best discovered on foot, following the tracks of the Lötschberg railway. 47 signposts along the way provide information on the railway in general, the famous alpine crossing of the Lötschberg in particular, and on the Kandertal valley and its spirit. A ¿must" for train buffs and hikers alike. Hiking routes lead from Kandersteg to Blausee-Mitholz (2h,) from Blausee-Mitholz to Kandergrund church (1h,) or from Kandergrund church to Frutigen (2h.)
