The total length of the border of the lake is 4,800 metres.
The first stage (from Charmey to the Montsalvens dam) is 2,950 metres long.
The second stage (from the Montsalvens dam to the Motélon valley) is 1,850 metres long.
The lake tour provides a real link between the magnificent Jogne Gorge and the villages of Im Fang and Jaun; departing from Broc, the tour stops at every district involved in the development of the valley.
The main points of the route are as follows:
- Tour of the lake, as close to the shore as possible
- It is one metre wide and accessible to everyone (families in particular)
- The path is not steep
- Most of the route is well shaded, this is especially appreciated in the summer
- The landscape is beautiful and varied; people are able to see the lake in a new light, even those who live here and who have not as yet seen the lake from this perspective.
- Quiet, unique and picturesque surroundings
- Rich plant life around the foothills of the Alps
- Fishing opportunities
- Picnic and barbecue areas.
