Welcome to the holiday region of Engadin/ St. Moritz, the mountain playground in a class of its own:
an incomparable natural paradise with azure lakes and lush green meadows, framed by snow-capped peaks and the Engadine sky. Nowhere else in the Alps can you so easily reach peaks of this altitude. Comfortable cog railways and cable cars climb up to the 3,000 metre summits of Piz Nair, Corvatsch and Diavolezza, as well as the high viewpoints of Muottas Muragl and Furtschellas.
The Swiss National Park
The foundation stone for the Swiss National Park – the first and, to date, only one in the country – was laid back in 1909 in Val Cluozza near Zernez. This is certainly one of the areas richest in wildlife in the whole of Europe: red deer, roe deer, chamois, ibex, marmots, hares, foxes, golden eagles and bearded vultures can all be seen, along with abundant flora. Thanks to its well developed network of footpaths, the national park is ideal for families as well. To make the most of a visit to this natural paradise, come first to the National Park House in Zernez. www.nationalpark.ch The magic of the Engadine lakes The lakes of the Upper Engadine make for a unique and unforgettable landscape.
