The village of Gsteig near Gstaad is situated in the western corner of the State of Bern on the foot of the two passes Col de Pillon and Sanetsch. The hotel-restaurant Bären (the bear) is the meeting point of the locals as well as an international clientele from Gstaad, appreciating the fine cuisine as well as the cosy and typical atmosphere of the establishment. The Bären has several restaurants and dining rooms, all wonderfully decorated and old wood work ceilings as well as 7 simple guest rooms. As famous painting shows the Bären with the cute little church of Gsteig.
