The neo-Gothic Elisabethen church stands in the centre of Basel and offers a unique setting for banquets, concerts and presentations. In accordance with regulations, champagne, wine and beer may be consumed. Smoking is prohibited inside the church. An area of the church is used as a coffee bar with space for around 30 people. The area around the church can also be hired. The ecumenical association Offene Kirche Elisabethen brings life to the church with spiritual celebrations as well as social and cultural events. The work of the association is funded by contributions from churches, donations and by its own activities.
