In the week before the official Bettag public holiday, the majority of the nearly 600 cows grazing on alpine pastures return to the valley and Sumiswald community in Emmental. The cows of the Lüderenalp Alps association arrive in Sumiswald around 09.30 - to the delight of numerous spectators who enjoy watching real, live tradition! And enjoyment for the palate and ears are thanks to the culinary delights prepared by the countrywomen and the song of the yodelling club.
