スイス屈指の歴史と格式を誇る５ツ星ホテル。創業は1844年ですが、前身となった宿は1681年まで遡るという伝統を誇っており、スイスはもちろんヨーロッパ全体でも最古ともいわれる歴史的なホテルです。ドイツ、フランスと国境を接するバーゼルの旧市街、ライン河沿いに佇む瀟酒な建物。フランス語で“３人の王様”という意味をもつ名前は、イエスの誕生を祝いにやってきた“東方の三博士”を表しているともいわれており、その３人の彫像がホテルのファサードにあります。 1844 年当時の建物を残しながら全面的に改修・拡張するという大規模な工事をようやく終えて、2006年3月にリニューアルオープンしました。豪華なスイートルームのほか、禁煙ルーム、特定アレルギーの方や車椅子の方用など、さまざまなタイプの部屋が全部で101室。アンティークの家具や絵画をおいたエレガントかつクラシックな雰囲気に高速インターネットアクセス（無線LAN）やスタイリッシュな薄型テレビなど最新の設備も完備した快適な空間に生まれかわっています。ホテル内には、スイスの有名シェフとワインのコレクションでも知られるミシュラン２ツ星、ゴーミヨ19点というトップレベルのグルメレストラン「シュヴァル・ブラン（白い馬）Cheval Blanc」やブラッスリー「レ・トロワ・ロワLes Trois Rois」、パーティなども開かれる美しいダンスホールなど施設もそろっています。

The Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois lies at the very heart of the city of Basel. At the exact spot where, in the Middle Ages, the ships docked at the salt tower in order to transport that much sought-after product down the Rhine and out into the wide world. With a history stretching back over three centuries, our Grand Hotel has one of the richest traditions in Europe. The historical structure of the building constructed in 1844 was restored 2004 to 2006 with a great deal of attention to detail. That obligates and inspires us: our guests experience hospitality and exquisite delicacies in a lively setting, which combines natural elegance with luxury. Good prospects for an event: the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois is located in the heart of the Old Town of Basel with a unique view of the river Rhine. The hotel offers 101 rooms and suites. They meet every requirement and combine history with the latest comfort. Cheval Blanc by Peter Knogl (3 Michelin stars/19 GaultMillau points), Brasserie Les Trois Rois (14 GaultMillau points) and Bar Les Trois Rois. With the renovation, the rooms for meetings and banquets will also be renovated and the hotel looks forward to being able to offer an attractive and flexible range of rooms from 2025. Until then, various rooms in the main building are available, which are suitable for smaller events and family celebrations.
