Overzicht

For more than 125 years the Hotel Ofenhorn has been a base for walkers, geologists and nature-lovers exploring the wild and unspoilt Binn valley. The substantial stone building dominates the village – declared of national cultural signifi cance – with its typical wooden Valais houses.

The Pro Binntal co-operative acquired the hotel in 1987, saving it from decay; over the past few years it has been stylishly restored, in close collaboration with the Swiss Heritage Society. Now sporting original furniture and decor from its heyday, the hotel once again breathes the spirit of the belle époque.
