Intro

Seasoned skiers can really play their talent with flying colours here. The Piste de l'Ours (bear’s track) in Veysonnaz is regarded by experts as being one of the finest ski slopes in the world. Numerous World Cup races have been held there.

The Piste de l'Ours runs from the high plain of Thyon through a wide forest clearing and down to Mayens de l'Ours. Where bears once frolicked in dense forest, skiers now whizz over extensive areas of snow. The route offers excellent conditions for untroubled downhill enjoyment as it is perfectly exposed to the north and almost consistently runs downhill. It is no wonder then that spectacular World Cup races for men and women have been held on these magnificent slopes.
