The 2nd house of the Liner foundation was opened in 2003. The brickwork is back to the 16th century with a walk-in brick baking oven at its heart (1566). It was converted by the architect Robert Bamert into a multi-functional cultural centre with a café, music and theatre stage together with a three-floor display wing. This building has become a monument to earlier Appenzell industry and an exhibition space for modern and contemporary art. The stage over the baking oven is used as a location for meetings, wedding drinks etc.
