Vallée de Joux z jeziorem i długą tradycją produkcji zegarków to wyjątkowy region z dziewiczą przyrodą, położony między pasmami Jury.
Description
Z Mont Tendre – najwyższego szczytu Vallée de Joux na wysokości 1679 m n.p.m. – otwiera się fantastyczny widok na Jezioro Genewskie oraz Alpy Sabaudzkie aż do Berneńskiego Oberlandu. Cały ten region ze licznymi punktami widokowymi jest rajem dla rowerzystów górskich, na wędrówki i na jazdę konną.
Jezioro Lac de Joux na wysokości 1000 m n.p.m. posiada największą powierzchnię wodną całego masywu Jury. Słynie z silnego wiatru i z tego powodu jest szczególnie atrakcyjne dla miłośników windsurfingu, żeglowania i innych sportów wodnych. Latem kursują po nim statki. Linia kolejowa prowadzi wzdłuż brzegów jeziora i przez sosnowe lasy oraz torfowiska Jury z Le Sentier do Le Brassus, które niemal 300 lat temu były centrami przemysłu zegarmistrzowskiego.
Zima
Niewielkie tereny dla narciarzy i snowboardzistów zapraszają: w L'Abbaye działają cztery wyciągi narciarskie, a w Le Brassus i L'Orient – trzy.
