Quinten can only be reached on foot from Weesen or Walenstadt, or by boat. It can thank its mild climate on its special location.
On a little ledge of land on the Walensee, 434 m above sea level, lie Quinten and Au. A little piece of land bordered on one side by the lake and on the other side by the steep rock walls of the Churfirsten.
