In March the new snow hiking trail "Britannia" has been opened which guarantees you an unforgettable experience at an altitude of 3000 m.
A real fairytale!

Tipp: The high-altitude "Felskinn - Britannia - Felskinn" hiking trail.
This circular hike starts at the top station of the Felskinn cable-car and takes you via the Egginerjoch to the Britannia Hut, where Therese Renaud-Andenmatten, the hut warden, caters to the needs of snow- hikers, Nordic walkers and snowshoers. After a short detour to the "Little Allalin" viewpoint, the hike takes you back via the Chessjen glacier to the Egginerjoch.
This hiking trail in the snow is prepared and well signposted, and is about 5 km long. The 2-hour hike in the sunny Britannia area provides a unique experience high up in Saas-Fee's world of mountains and glaciers at 3000 m above sea-level.

The high-altitude hiking trail is open from mid-March (according to opening of the Britannia Hut).

Themed & educational trails- also in winter!Sun trail - Saas-Fee
Walking time: 1 hour.
Always follow the sun! Do you want to walk on the sunny side of life? Then the "sun trail" between the Hannig and the Café Alpenblick in Saas-Fee is just the place for you. The sun shines on 300 days of the year in the southern valley of the Valais region. The "sun trail" takes you towards the sun in all its glorious facets. There are lucid answers to many interesting questions.

The Zuckmayer hiking trail - Saas-Fee
Walking time: 2.5 hours.
This hiking trail was established in 1996 in honour of the author Dr. Carl Zuckmayer. Five serpentine rocks contain quotations by Zuckmayer. You walk up from Haus Vogelweid, his former place of residence, to Bärenfalle, and then on to Melchboden and the Café Alpenblick. Finally, you follow the path through the forest, pass Hohnegg and down to Saas-Fee.

The chapel trail - Saas-Fee
Walking time: 30 minutes
The chapel trail begins behind the post office and leads to the chapel "Zur Hohen Stiege" right next to the trail from Saas-Fee to Saas-Grund. Enjoy the silence and the unique atmosphere which this place provides.

Path of tranquility - Saas-Grund
Walking time: 1 hour.
Meditative stations invite you to engage in quiet contemplation. On this themed trail you will enter into harmony with nature and active relaxation.

Themed Trail 18 Four-Thousand-Metre-Peaks
Walking time: 30 minutes.
On the 1.4 kilometer long loop road from Hohsaas (3'300 metres above sea level) the hiker sees the 18 four-thousand-metre-peaks of the Saas Valley - once in the nature, once as reproductions and on information panels. You will be informed about the topics glaciers, flora and fauna. The trail is also open in winter (prepared up to the "Dom" station).

Would you like to enjoy the winter far away from the ski pistes and escape from everyday life in the depths of snow-covered forests? With the right equipment, every hike in the snow becomes an amazing experience.

The well-lit paths from Saas-Fee to Bodmen and Saas-Fee to Hohnegg as well as from Saas-Fee to Fletschhorn are ideal for evening walks.
