Introdução

O resort de Amden está situado em uma ensolarada costa no topo do Walensee, no caminho para Heidiland – o destino de férias entre Walensee e Sarganserland.

Descrição

Amden lies on a sunny terrace above Lake Walensee – a real natural paradise. Panoramic peaks in the Pre-Alps and rugged cliffs alternate with charming, almost Mediterranean-like retreats – it is this combination that makes Amden-Weesen such a unique destination. The unspoilt natural landscape around the two municipalities is included in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Monuments of National Importance (BNL) and is thus protected. The pristine pre-Alpine landscape of Amden-Weesen, with forests, moors, peaks, streams, Mediterranean plants and bays surrounding Lake Walensee, is a haven for nature lovers.
Whether you like to be active or just relax, the beautiful landscape is there to enjoy. There are many Alpine farms and restaurants with panoramic views to stop off and relax at along the way. When in Amden-Weesen, all you have to do is arrive take a deep breath and unwind.

Inverno

In summer, Amden-Weesen is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Lake Walensee offers plenty of opportunities to take a refreshing break from the summer sun, whether in the pretty bays or even sandy beaches of Baden, on a relaxing boat trip or – for the more adventurous types – with a spot of surfing or diving. For those who prefer to stay on dry land, there is an extensive and well-marked network of hiking trails spanning approximately 110 kilometres. The ideal starting point is the upper station of the Mattstock chair lift (1,300 metres above sea level). This is also the start of Amdenʼs panorama trail, which leads through protected moorland and impresses hikers with its enchanting views. Mountaineers are drawn to the Speer, the impressive Leistchamm or the Mattstock, Amdenʼs local mountain. For a real buzz, abseil down the Amden dam wall or climb the practice climbing wall on the walkway between Weesen and Amden.

Famílias

Families can discover simple yet fun family hikes and adventure trails, numerous playgrounds and plenty of space to run around. For children, the main attraction in Amden is, without a doubt, the Munggeweg trail. Families can reach the start of the trail high above Amden by taking the Mattstock chair lift. On the popular adventure trail, the children can bound and play, touch and explore, test their balance and walk barefoot to their heartʼs content. Another popular attraction for families is the “Amdo Mungg and Walis Schatz” treasure hunt in Betlis on Lake Walensee.
