MASI - Museo d’arte della Svizzera italiana

The Lugano Museum’s unique exhibitions of mainly 20th-century art attract experts from across Europe.

In 2010 the municipal and cantonal art museums got together to become MASI, the Museo d'arte della Svizzera italiana - the museum of art for Italian-speaking Switzerland. At the two locations of the museum, the Palazzo Reali and the new LAC, visitors today gain insight into the past and present-day art and culture of southern, Italian speaking Switzerland.

Toboggan fun on the Gurten

In winter too, the Gurten is a very worthwhile excursion destination for the whole family. 1,200 metres of toboggan runs offer fantastic snow experiences.

The mudac has been open in its current form since 1967 and is the only museum for contemporary applied arts in the French part of Switzerland.

The Maison Gaudard has been standing opposite the cathedral in the heart of Lausanne since the Middle Ages. And in 2000, “mudac", the museum of applied arts also took root here. In this history-steeped setting, today you discover the very much up-to-date works of contemporary graphic designers, fashion designers, architects and illustrators.
