The Museum zu Allerheiligen is one of Schaffhausen’s most significant places of interest. Here, archaeology, history and art as well as natural history converge under one roof. In addition to its extensive permanent exhibitions, the museum hosts between six and eight special exhibitions each year.
Between 1907 and 1930, Hedy and Arthur Hahnloser-Bühler built up a collection of Swiss and French art of extraordinary quality. The main focus is on young Swiss artists and on the works of the Nabis (Bonnard, Vallotton, Vuillard) and Fauves (Matisse, Rouault, Manguin) groups as well as their forerunners (Cézanne, van Gogh, Redon).
Martin Bodmer, fundador do Prêmio Gottfried-Keller, foi um apaixonado colecionador de livros e manuscritos durante toda a vida. A "Fundação Martin Bodmer", em Coligny, exibe seu acervo de 150.000 exemplares. As obras vêm escritas em 80 idiomas, abrangendo um período de três milênios.
