Congress Centre Steinmatte

– The congress and cultural centre "Steinmatte" is situated in a quiet area, approx. 10 minutes walk from the centre of the car-free resort of Saas-Fee. It includes 5 rooms for up to 50 persons for seminars. Two of the rooms can be combined to one room of 160m2. A sixth, semi-circular has a capacity of up to 230 people (concerts). Its infrastructure includes a movable stage and is perfect for concerts or congresses. The rooms are equipped with video and an overhead & slide projector. This semi-circular room is also equipped with ISDN and a CD Sound System.

You then walk through an ice tunnel that leads you directly into the palace, some fifteen metres beneath the glacier surface. If you are bold and adventuresome, you can walk back through a glacier crevice afterwards. Subtle lighting and ethereal sounds amplify the special mood within this small wonder of the glacier world. Information on glaciology and the creation of the glacier palace and an impressive array of ice sculptures add to the special experience. The new slide through the ice gives your trip into the ice a touch of adventure. The newly designed event room, about 40 m2 large, is ideal for weddings, stand-up receptions, or short presentations.
