The winter sports areas of Melchsee-Frutt, Mörlialp, the Panoramawelt Lungern, Engelberg and Meiringen-Hasliberg are less than an hour's drive away. While Sarnen itself is not right in a winter sports area, it is the perfect base from which to explore them all!
