Chalet Hotel Edelweiss stars

La Fouly-Val Ferret

Alpine scenery, mountains, unspoiled nature, the relaxed atmosphere of a small and friendly village – that, in a nutshell, is La Fouly. And in the middle of it all is the pretty Chalet-Hotel Edelweiss. Most of the hotel's cosy rustic rooms have a balcony looking out on an Alpine panorama that defies all superlatives. The restaurant serves typical Valaisan specialities and those who love nothing better than a good book will be delighted to find that the library has 3000 of them.

The little chalet village of La Fouly is an alpinist's Mecca and ideal for budding young climbers keen to learn the ropes. The Val Ferret is also magnificent walking country and a staging post on the famous Mont Blanc route and splendid St. Bernhard route. In winter, La Fouly turns into a small but exquisite ski resort. The valley is a delight for cross-country skiers, no matter which style they prefer, and the conditions for snow-shoe trekkers are equally unbeatable.
