消息
The large commune of Arogno extends along the banks of the Ceresio, up to the reaches of Monte Sighignola and the crest of Monte Generoso, where it borders with Italy.
The heart of the village is set on a terrace protected by the surrounding hillsides. Other splendid terraces with panoramic views surround the village, descending to the village of Pugerna.
The community is fortunate enough to have been the birthplace of several well-known artists, such as the Artarias, the Colombos, and above all, Adamo d’Arogno, famous for the Cathedral in Trento. From the 12th century onwards quite a few artists acquired their fame as architects, sculptors or painters, working with the masters of Campione in Italy, in France, in Poland, and as far away as Russia.
