Hotel Männlichen - Panoramic Mountain between Wengen and Grindelwald

In the midst of the natural throne also known as the Männlichen, 2,342 m.a.s.l., lies the Mountain Hotel Männlichen, built in 1870. Over the years, the hotel has been carefully renovated and brought up-to-date but it has lost none of its charm and coziness, still beckoning to visitors with its bright red shutters and cozy rooms.

The west side of the Männlichen plateau drops off in a precipice, while the east flank dips towards the glacier village Grindelwald -- in the midst of this natural throne lies the Mountain Hotel Männlichen, built in 1870 when Alpine tourism was just starting off.

Hotel Riederfurka: Box Seats with View of the Aletsch Region

The 2,065-meter-high Hotel Riederfurka is in the middle of a hiking paradise through forests, along the glacier, and across the glacier to Belalp, from Riederalp to the Fiescheralp or along the ridge to the Bettmerhorn. For guests seeking nature and quiet, there could not be a better place!

It is hard for a hotel to have better location: right between Rhone valley and Aletsch Glacier, in the middle of flower-filled meadows, on the fringe of the Aletsch Forest and far-off of all the hectic hubbub.

The Inn on the Glas Pass

There is a road that connects Thusis to the small lake on the Glas Pass. In the middle of a flower-filled meadow there lies the cozy Mountain Hotel Beverin, an ideal place for those seeking to commune with nature in remote solitude. The place is also ideal for relaxing vacations and as a starting point for hiking tours with fabulous vistas.

For many centuries the 1880-meter-high Glas Pass between Heinzenberg and Piz Beverin was the most important connection between Thusis in the Domleschg Valley and the remote Safien Valley.

Hotel Müller–Mountain Lodge

The building, located in the pedestrian village centre, was rebuilt in 2005. As the basic colour, white is the tone that runs through the hotel, combined with gneiss, sisal, limestone and wood.

The smallest hotel in the village, it has been a member of Swiss Design Hotels since 2008. Its style is pleasantly simple without being the least bit cold. In 2005 it underwent complete renovations, emerging with plenty of light wood and the most modern equipment. An alpine design is evident in the modern wooden furniture of the 13 rooms and 5 junior suites. Sauna, steam bath and fitness room. The exclusive restaurants "Stüva" and "EssZimmer" offer Italian cuisine.
