SWISS expands service & capacity

Miami - Zurich

Swiss International Air Lines has announced it is adding another flight to its current Miami-Zurich route this fall offering passengers more choices to Switzerland and beyond. Starting November 29th, the new flight will offer service to Zurich an additional four times a week beyond the current daily schedule. An Airbus 330-300 will service the route complete with First, Business and Economy classes of service. The new flight will operate until May 5th, 2013. Schedule

Chicago - Zurich

In Chicago, starting June 7 through October 25/27, travelers can select from two weekly flights - a dalily flight plus four additional flights per week. Both Airbus 330-300 flights will include SWISS First, SWISS Business and SWISS Economy classes of service. In SWISS premium cabins sleep peacefully in lie flat beds, enjoy in-flight speciality dishes, and accompanying wines, and relax in a tranquil environment complete with a multitude of entertainment options. In SWISS Economy, expect outstanding value accompanied by friendly and attentive service. Adjustable headrests and flexible ear wings help passengers relax and enjoy movies, music, video games and more. Children’s entertainment options are available too as well as a menu designed with infants and children in mind. When it comes to menus, select a meat or vegetarian meal, and on the flight back from Switzerland, enjoy a Swiss cheese selection from Emmentaler, Le Gruyere, and Appenzeller. Newark - Zurich

Since March 31, the Newark-Zurich route is now being operated with an Airbus 340 offering passengers additional seat capacity in SWISS First (8 seats) , SWISS Business (47 seats) and SWISS Economy (164 seats). The route was being served prior to this date with a 56- seat all-Business Class Boeing Business Jet. On board the A340 from Newark is the new fully horizontal lie-flat SWISS Business bed, measuring 79 inches long. The seat includes an innovative air cushion technology offering passengers the opportunity to individually adjust comfort levels to meet personal requirements. SWISS is one of the only airlines to offer this seat technology. Passengers can also opt for a relaxing massage function. Cabin configuration is 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 with most seats having direct aisle access, allowing for more privacy and additional storage space. Schedule
