Architecturally ornate hotel in a perfect location. Suites, deluxe doubles, superior doubles and family rooms, most with views of the Matterhorn. It takes mountain hikers and winter sports enthusiasts only two minutes to get to the Zermatt-Klein-Matterhorn bottom station through an underground passage. The magazine "Geo Saison" voted the Focus, opened in 2008, in 7th place in Europe in the Newcomer category.

The architectural concept and interior design are the work of Zermatt artist Heinz Julen. He designed lamps, couches, beds and free standing bathtubs with views of the Matterhorn for the hotel. In the wellness annexe the indoor rim flow pool seems to extend boundlessly towards the outside. Here the hand of artist Julen is once again noticeable in the fresh and surprising composition of material, colour and light.
