Zermatt

The lodge has pride of place on a rock 45 meters above the village. An elevator transports guests through a tunnel onto the rock, allowing them to float into the lobby almost 1650 meters above sea level. 30 rooms of which 12 are suites, a library, a restaurant with open fireplaces, a lounge bar, a boardroom, a wine cellar and two sun terraces high above the roofs of Zermatt. The wellness area has views of the Matterhorn.

A contemporary interpretation of New York architect Ali Tayar's classic Mountain Lodge. Valais materials and craftsmanship fuse with the aesthetics of American Modernist furniture. The "Caverne" is carved out of the rough granite. A glazed steel structure fills the cave, floating over spring water. Black stone, steel, glass and wood dominate the venue.
