Intro

Skiing in the Jungfrau Region – where only superlatives will do. Breathtaking scenery with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. The toughest downhill section in the Alpine skiing circuit. At this traditional winter holiday resort, everyone wants to carve their ski tracks onto the piste.

Every skier and snowboarder has a bucket list of ski regions they want to visit. And the Jungfrau Region definitely belongs on that list. Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau: these three peaks tower majestically over the ski region. It is easy to spend hours just gazing at these mountains. As a snowboarder or skier, nothing beats carving your tracks on the piste with the three peaks as your silent observer – this is the perfect setting for a holiday snap with cover photo potential.

Once you finally manage to draw your eyes away from the three ever-present giants, it’s time to decide: which piste is it going to be?Undoubtedly, going down the legendary Lauberhorn Run is a favourite of many. The descent to the traditional village of Wengen takes the world’s best racers around two and a half minutes, though this does not leave much time to enjoy the panorama. So, take your time and enjoy the seemingly endless and varied run. The red and blue pistes are a more leisurely way of getting down to the cosmopolitan village of Grindelwald, and the ride back up the mountain from here is also a very special experience.
