It is a marvelous place in this breathtaking Alpine world and offers a fantastic view of Mt. Weisshorn.
The ascent on foot demands physical fitness. But you can take one of the many taxi cabs available here. Or ride up by car, but please note that the high Alpine tour is only recommended for expert drivers used to driving in the High Alps.
In June the cattle is driven up the mountains where they spend the summer. The lush meadows dotted with Alpine herbs are the source of nourishment for the cows producing the Alpine milk, which is processed into the famous Täschalp cheese. A cheese with a spicy aroma that is delectable and highly valued. By the end of August or beginning of September the cows are brought down in a colorful and festive cattle parade.
The Täschalp is the starting point of many unforgettable tours.
