Andrin Winteler. Floating Point - Manor Art Prize Schaffhausen 2025
Overview
Intro
Andrin Winteler (*1986) is the winner of the Manor Art Prize Schaffhausen 2025, which is awarded every two years to promote young Swiss art.
Description: For his first institutional solo exhibition "Floating Point", Andrin Winteler is developing new works focusing on the movement and alienation of objects in film, installation and photography. Using technical aids and digital processes, he explores the limits of our perception. He explores the transitions between dream and reality, between truth and illusion. Enigmatic - almost surreal - Andrin Winteler's works invite us to reflect on the flood of images in our everyday lives. Andrin Winteler studied art and media at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). He grew up in Schaffhausen and now lives and works in Zurich.
A commitment to the young Swiss art scene
The Manor Art Prize, one of the most important awards for contemporary art in Switzerland, was established in 1982 by Philippe Nordmann to provide a platform for young artists. It is awarded annually by a jury of experts in six Swiss cities, with Aarau, Basel, Biel, Chur, Geneva, Lausanne, Lucerne, Lugano, Schaffhausen, Sion, St. Gallen and Winterthur alternating every two years. The prize has already accompanied a whole series of artists on their way to an international breakthrough.
