Ambience:
Guests can choose between the cosy staffed restaurant, the simpler self-service restaurant as well as the large sun terrace with self-service (200 seats). 8 simply furnished double and multi-bedrooms invite guests to stay overnight (all rooms feature their own bathroom).
Location:
Located on the summit of the Fronalpstock at 1,922 m above sea level. Accessible by chairlift via the car-free mountain village of Stoos.
Cuisine:
Cheese takes centre stage on the Fronalpstock’s menu. There is cheese on toast prepared in a fireproof pan, cheese fondue, sausage and cheese salad as well as cheese spätzle with roasted onions and apple puree. The menu also offers a choice of sandwiches and soups, plate of roast beef, chicken nuggets, spaghetti Bolognese or Napoli, Rösti variations, breaded pork escalope or veal sausage with chips and vegetables, minced beef with Hörnli pasta, beefsteak on a peppercorn sauce with potato croquettes, veal cordon bleu, trout fillet with boiled potatoes; and for dessert, delicious gateaux.
