The wide path to the Stockhütte
Distance 5 km
Duration 1 h 17 min
Ascent 31 m
This easy hike takes you from the Klewenalp to the Stockhütte. The hiking trail is buggy-friendly and perfect for families with small children, and has various barbecue areas along the route.
The hike from Klewenalp upper station (cable car from Beckenried) to Stockhütte upper station (gondola lift from Emmetten) is perfect for families with small children (buggy-friendly). The trail leads from the marmots by Klewen upper station to the cosy Alpstubli mountain restaurant, then turns southwards around the Klewenstock before descending slightly to the Stafel and turn off for Ängi. Next you head left a little more steeply over the Twäregg and through the forest. Families with buggies can take the right-hand fork towards the Stockhütte. The hike takes around 1.5 hours (depending on the length of the stride of your youngest hikers).
You take the six-seater gondola lift to Emmetten (UBS ticket valid), and then the postal bus back to Beckenried (not included). The hike is a little more strenuous if you go in the other direction.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
