Shortly after the start in Gsteig, you cross the cantonal border and swap the lovely hills of the Saanenland in the canton of Bern for the rugged peaks of the Valais. Rocky limestone formations, untouched forests and sparkling mountain lakes await you over the coming days. You will remain at a constant altitude and visit little-known mountain huts in the Lower Valais. The whole world knows the Valais four-thousand-metre peaks?
