Säntis & Churfirsten From Lake Constance, the Appenzellerbahn takes you into the hills of Appenzell. Take a look back at the sparkling Lake Constance and take a deep breath before tackling the descent to Trogen. Continue to the painted houses of Appenzell and past the foot of the Säntis into Toggenburg. The jagged peaks of the Churfirsten accompany you on your way to Lake Waalen before the ascent into Central Switzerland awaits you. The ride on the Einsiedeln plateau is idyllic and the view over Lake Lucerne opens up to you at the end.
