Tubing in Aare river from Uttigen, Thun

Summer is here and you're looking for a cool water sport activity for your holiday? Then grab an inflatable ring and float down the Aare like the locals do.

Experience the crystal-clear waters of the Aare and the beautiful scenery that passes by during your tubing adventure. Aaretubing is most fun when you do it with friends. Everyone sits in their own ring and does what they want. The rings turn with you and let you enjoy the ride to the full.

You can get on board in Uttigen near Thun, where you will be equipped with a life jacket and ring. Then let yourself drift on the Aare for about 18 kilometres (2.5 hours) to Wabern near Bern. Thanks to the regular current, you don't even have to paddle - you can just relax and enjoy the ride.

You get off at Camping Eichholz, where you can hand in your equipment. Then you have the choice of either taking the train back to Thun (Camping Eichholz is right next to the station) or taking a tour of the Swiss capital, Bern.

All you have to do is jump into the fresh water and let yourself float down the Aare on your ring. Along the way you can take breaks, picnic in the sun or just relax... life can be so beautiful!
