A romantic tour through unspoiled countryside takes you from the village of Lauenen in the Bernese Oberland through the enchanted Rohr nature conservation area to Lake Lauenen and back again.
Starting at Lauenen, the route traverses a sunlit slope and continues to the romantic snow-covered forest, along the lake and back into the valley along a narrow trail.
The classic Lake Lauen tour takes about 1 hour 15 minutes; sleighs are available for visitors every day in winter. The sleighs were designed and built by Ernst and Ueli Reichenbach themselves. They can carry 6 to 9 people, with genuine sheepskins to fend off the cold.
