When the Hagen Quartet strikes up, it is said that the audience feels “absolute silence in the consciousness for minutes on end, knowing they have experienced something exceptional”. Others swear that what they have heard must have come from another planet.
This amazing string quartet, founded in 1981, has become a firm fixture on our earthly concert and festival stages, rapidly rising to the status of one of the leading ensembles throughout the world. They have garnered international recognition with prestigious awards such as the Echo Klassik, the Diapason d’or and the Concertgebouw Prijs, the latter for their many years of artistic appeal and contribution to the sector. The Hagen Quartet’s repertoire features performances as charming as they are intelligently combined, and which illustrate the sheer depth of their history. Here in Zug, the four Salzburg musicians will be taking the audience on a very special journey featuring old Italian master instruments.
