Paddleboarding among the vineyards
Overview
Intro
A stand-up paddleboard tour of Lake Geneva is the perfect combination of sport, fun and enjoyment.
The terraced vineyards of Lavaux, along the shores of Lake Geneva, are some of the most stunning natural sights in Switzerland. The terraced vineyards of the UNESCO World Heritage site extend over an area of 800 hectares. Switzerland’s largest contiguous winegrowing area has been producing since the 11th century, and wine lovers rave at names such as St-Saphorin, Dézaley and Epesses.
The terraced vineyards of Lavaux can be discovered not only through long hikes and bike tours, but also by water. Swisspaddle offers stand-up paddle tours, led by a professional instructor. They show beginners key tips to stay stable on the board. The half-day tour starts on the lake shore, at Vevey, and goes alongside the slopes of the Lavaux vineyards below the famous winegrowing village of Saint-Saphorin. Paddlers can enjoy unique views, not just of Lavaux but also of the French and Swiss Alps.
After the two-hour trip on the lake, guests are invited to an aperitif with a winegrower near Vevey. As the sun sets, you can savour local wines and majestic views of the lake. An unforgettable experience!
